Apart from being the second straight National Championship for Texas Volleyball, this is the program’s fifth overall triumph, which also includes the AIAW title from 1981 and the NCAA titles from 1988, 2012, and 2022. The Cornhuskers were kept off the court by the Longhorns (28-4), who finished with 12 service aces, including the game-winning basket from senior Asjia O’Neal. With five service aces in the end, O’Neal set a career record. Madisen Skinner, Ella Swindle, and Keonilei Akana each had two aces. Throughout the game, Texas limited Nebraska’s hitting % to just.013.
