Blink-182 is an American rock band formed in Poway, California in 1992. The band consists of bassist and vocalist Mark Hoppus, guitarist and vocalist Tom DeLonge (on-and-off since 2009), and drummer Travis Barker. Blink-182 is considered one of the most influential pop-punk bands of all time, having sold over 75 million albums worldwide. They are known for their catchy songs, humor-infused lyrics, and high-energy live performances. The band’s debut album, Cheshire Cat, was released in 1994 on Cargo Music. Their breakthrough came with their second album, Dude Ranch, released in 1997 on MCA Records. Dude Ranch was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), and it spawned the singles “Dammit” and “Aenema of the State”.

Blink-182’s third album, Enema of the State, was released in 1999 and was an even bigger commercial success. Enema of the State was certified triple platinum by the RIAA, and it produced the hit singles “What’s My Age Again?”, “All the Small Things”, and “Adam’s Song”. The band’s fourth album, Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, was released in 2001 and continued their commercial success. Take Off Your Pants and Jacket was certified double platinum by the RIAA, and it spawned the singles “The Rock Show”, “Elevator”, and “First Date”.

Blink-182 went on hiatus in 2005, and the members pursued other projects. DeLonge formed the bands Box Car Racer and Angels & Airwaves, while Barker joined +44 and Transplants. The band reunited in 2009 and released their sixth studio album, Neighborhoods, in 2011. Blink-182 took another hiatus in 2015, but they reunited again in 2016 and released their seventh studio album, California, in 2016. California was their first album without DeLonge, who was replaced by Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio.

In 2018, DeLonge rejoined the band, and they released their eighth studio album, Nine, in 2019. Nine was their first album with the classic lineup of Hoppus, DeLonge, and Barker since 2005. Blink-182 is one of the most popular and influential rock bands of all time. They have been praised for their catchy songs, humor-infused lyrics, and high-energy live performances.
