Bean connected with Arnold for a third time on a 56-yard screen play to put Kansas up 42-30 with 11:10 left. Kansas cornerback Cobee Bryant intercepted Jayden Maiava’s throw on the next UNLV possession for his fourth of the season. After Bryant’s interception, Grimm scored his second touchdown of the day on Bean’s 60-yard throw to put Kansas up 14-7 with 11:37 left in the first half. Next, UNLV missed a 52-yard field goal, giving the Jayhawks ideal field position for a five-play, 66-yard touchdown drive finished by a Bean-Arnold 15-yard touchdown pass.
