Kalen DeBoer is in his second season as the head coach of the Washington Huskies. In Seattle, they host their home games at Husky Stadium. Before joining the Big Ten Conference in 2024, Washington played its last season in the Pac-12 Conference in 2023.
Following the league’s 2011 expansion to twelve clubs, the Huskies became the first squad to go unbeaten in Pac-12 competition with their victory over Washington State. It was the first flawless regular season for Washington since 1991, and their 13th consecutive season without a loss.
Following their victory over the Oregon Ducks in the Pac-12 Championship on December 1, 2023, Washington also established a program record for wins in a season, as their thirteen victories surpassed the previous mark of twelve, which was first established in 1991 and equaled in 2016. Washington faced Texas in the 2024 Sugar Bowl after finishing second in the final College Football Playoff rankings as of December 2023. They defeated No. 1 Michigan 37–31 to win the game and go on to play in the 2024 CFP National Championship, where they were defeated 13–34. This became them the second and last Pac-12 team to win a College Football Playoff game.
